Where creativity, media and learning collide.

Just In: Ichiro by Ryan Inzana

Ichiro lives with his mother in New York City. His father is killed during the war in the middle east and Ichiro`s mother decides that they should move to Japan to be closer to her family. Ichiro and his mother stay with his Grandfather Sato. Grandfather Sato teaches Ichiro about a land and culture which are completely strange and new.

Ichiro learns about history, mythology and traditional Japanese legends. However, this learning experience is not as tame as we might think. Ichiro travels to the worlds of the gods and is trapped in the Shinto spirit world. He is caught in a war between heaven and Earth.

This is a graphic novel. The illustrations are creepy, beautiful and strange to our eyes. This graphic novel will make you think about family and obligation, war and peace, strange and familiar, and ancient and modern.

If you liked City of Bones or Zombies, you`ll love Ichiro
